Over the years Benicia Main Street has worked with

Over the years Benicia Main Street has worked with hundreds of committed volunteers who help make our community events happen. They wear many hats and among other things, help transform First Street into a Farmers Market and keep it safe for our Torchlight Parade! We are currently looking for local, community-minded enthusiasts interested in volunteering for the following events: Benicia Certified Farmers Market (we will contact you to see which days you are available) – Shift 1: -Thursdays through August, 3-5:30 pm (opening market, manning info booth, running errands as needed) -Thursdays September through October, 3-5:00 pm (opening market, manning info booth, running errands as needed) Shift 2: -Thursdays through August, 6-8:30 pm (closing market, manning info booth, running errands as needed) -Thursdays September through October, 5:30-7:30 pm (closing market, manning info booth, running errands as needed) Torchlight Parade – Monday, July 3rd 6-8 pm - Street Marshals Please call Benicia Main Street at 707-745-9791 or email us your interest at info@beniciamainstreet.org for more information.

Don’t forget, you have through May 20 to “give and get back” during Benicia Main Street’s Spring into Giving promotion, benefitting Benicia’s Family Resource Center. Anyone who drops off a suggested donation at Benicia Main Street through Saturday, May 20 will receive a discount card for 10 to 20 percent off at participating downtown Benicia merchants during the same period. (Some restrictions may apply.) Help stock the Benicia Family Resource Center's Co

Help stock the Benicia Family Resource Center's Community Closet with emergency items for local families. When you drop donations to Benicia Main Street through Saturday, May 20 you will receive a 10 - 20% discount card with participating downtown Benicia merchants. Suggested donation items include new, unused baby wipes, baby shampoo and soap, diapers, deodorant, body wash, feminine hygiene products, hair brushes, shampoo and conditioner, toothbrushes and toothpaste. This is our current list of participating merchants: Benicia Main Street, Roberto's Fine Jewelry, Happy Life Pottery, Sweetness & Light Flowers & Events, Bell & Brass Home Goods, Benicia Main Street, Elisa's Cottage, Pups N Purrz, Sepay Groves Olive Oil, and The Steffen Collection.
