Dine Downtown Benicia — Month of January

Eat your way through January! With so many restaurants in our downtown, you can enjoy all your favorites and find many new ones.  Share pictures of your meals to info@beniciamainstreet.org for a chance to win $100 Downtown Dollars.

Wine & Chocolate Walk — Saturday, February 1, 1-5pm

Stroll First Street with your sweetheart tasting fine wine and chocolate pairings inside downtown shops.

Love Local — Month of February

Send some love to your favorite Downtown Benicia business this month for a chance to win $100 Downtown Dollars. The more love letters you send, the more chances to win!

St. Patrick’s Day Beer Crawl — Saturday, March 8, 1-5pm

The Saturday before St. Patrick’s Day, let out your Irish cheer and sample craft beers inside participating businesses.

Farmers Market — April 24 through October 30, 4-8pm (Apr—Aug) & 4-7pm (Sep—Oct)

Benicia Main Street draws many people to its popular Farmers Market.  The Market offers fresh fruits and vegetables, baked goods, gourmet food, delicious hot foods, arts and crafts, live entertainment, and face painting.

Spring Into Giving — May 3—17

Donate an item to Benicia Main Street for the Benicia Family Resource Center and receive a 10-15% off discount card valid with participating Downtown merchants. Some restrictions may apply.

Sip Into Summer Wine Walk — Saturday, June 21, 1-5pm

Stroll First Street on a beautiful afternoon and taste over a dozen wines being poured inside downtown shops.

Torchlight Parade — Thursday, July 3, 6:30pm

Benicia’s Independence Day parade stretches along First Street and includes dancers, floats, clowns, and entertainment.

Benicia Waterfront Festival — Saturday, July 26, 11am-6pm and Sunday, July 27, 11am-6pm

The popular summer event is back with a splash! Benicia celebrates its picturesque waterfront locale with two days of live music, microbrew tastings, arts & crafts marketplace, delectable gourmet foods, and kids’ activity area.

Where’s Doña Benicia? September 5-19

Benicia Main Street celebrates downtown with a chance to win $100 in Downtown Dollars. Look for the framed picture of Doña Benicia at participating businesses and email the keyword found on the frame to Benicia Main Street to enter in the drawing for Downtown Dollars. 

Scarecrow Contest — Month of October

As people stroll downtown during the month of October they will be greeted by scarecrows fashioned by downtown businesses. The public is invited to vote on their favorites!

Witching Wine Walk — Saturday, October 18, 1-5pm

Witches descend upon downtown to sample wine at participating businesses—dare to join them? Costumes are welcome.

Halloween Costume Contest & Sidewalk Stroll — Saturday, October 25, 10am

Benicia Main Street offers a great time for kids of all ages during the popular Halloween costume contest and sidewalk stroll. The local merchants on First Street get into the spirit of the holiday for all to shop and enjoy.

At noon there will be a Canine & Critter Costume Contest on the First Street Green with awards and treats. 

Downtown Holiday Shopping Spree — Month of November

A drawing for a Downtown Benicia Shopping Spree valued at $500 in Downtown Dollars.  For every $10 that you spend at participating merchants, you will receive one ticket for the drawing.

Wine Walk & Shop Small Saturday, November 29, 1-5pm

On Small Business Saturday, shop Downtown Benicia while tasting fine wines at participating businesses.

Holiday Open House — Friday, December 5, 6-9pm

First Street merchants along with Benicia Main Street host this ever-popular open house at the beginning of the Christmas Season.  Merchants offer beverages and treats and show off their holiday goods while costumed carolers sing traditional Christmas tunes.  Live entertainment and Christmas Tree lighting sponsored by the Benicia Community Foundation add a festive atmosphere to this family event.

Holiday Parade &  Market — Saturday, December  13, 10am-3pm

The parade starts at 10am at First and D Street and ends at H Street.  The parade features local marching bands, dancers, and the much-anticipated Santa Claus.  The Holiday Market features handcrafted arts & crafts, gourmet items and delicious foods.
